The Midnight Hotel: a live social deduction party game
The Midnight Hotel is an original party game you play in person. Everyone gathers in one room with their phone. One person hosts as the House Master; everyone else checks in as a guest of a grand hotel on the night of a mystery. Most are loyal House Guests. A hidden few are Veiled Guests, working quietly against the rest.
How a night works
- The House Master opens the hotel: names the night, adds guests, picks the Hotel Requests and sets the Dawn Clock.
- Guests check in by scanning a QR code or typing a four-letter hotel code. No app or account.
- Each phone privately reveals a secret role: House Guest or Veiled Guest.
- Guests complete real-life requests and send photo or video proof to Reception.
- Anyone can ring the Lobby Bell to report a death or call a suspect, and everyone gathers.
- Players talk it through face to face, vote on their phones, and check someone out. Every role is revealed at dawn.
Best with 6 to 15 people. Family friendly. The Midnight Hotel is a party game, not a place to stay. Please enable JavaScript to play.
